Camp Mattli-Ahorn
Description
Camp Mattli-Ahorn is located at 1025m above sea level, above the fog line, in the municipality of Alpthal near Einsiedeln, directly on the Alpthal-Rothenthurm biker route and on the Alpthal-Haggenegg hiking trail.
The idyllic site under an old, tall maple offers a cozy fireplace with wood stoves (the wood store in the camp is available free of charge, more firewood can be purchased if needed), a table with benches, a compost toilet and 10 liters of fresh drinking water on request. The access road as well as the parking lot are paved with gravel and are level. Along the camp flows a small stream. The somewhat larger Vogelwaldbach is 50m away from the camp and invites you to splash and cool off in summer. The valley station Brunni-Holzgegg and the hiking and biking area of the Mythen region is 4.5 km away from the camp. The bus stop is within 5 min. walking distance. Bookings with more than 4 persons and more than 1 vehicle are not accepted.

The place is nestled in a rural area with beautiful hills. We love the sound of cowbells, the chirping of birds in the morning and the chirping of cicadas in the evening. Traffic is rare here. We thank you for the firewood and water. We enjoyed it very much with you.

Everything worked out wonderfully. The place is beautiful and lovingly prepared. Everything that makes life pleasant is available. Under the maple tree it is pleasantly shady. The camp is located on a small road, which probably only leads to individual farms, because the traffic is very, very low. Great area for hiking as well. We liked it very much, we will be back!

A wonderful place, quiet and idyllic location. We enjoyed the sun and the view into the valley as much as the cozy, shady spot under the big maple tree. Also the hike along the Vogelbach up the mountain with subsequent cooling in the stream on the return were quite great. Many thanks, dear Nicole and Sepp, for the time out at your place. We also enjoyed the short personal contact. We will certainly come again.

Beautiful place and a very warm hostess. Perfect for a little time out. Directly from the place a shady hiking trail, the upward march is rewarded with a beautiful view. Afterwards a little cooling in the stream, just wonderful. In the evening enjoy the peace and quiet by the fire, you hear only cowbells and crickets chirping. We are very happy to come back!

We have enjoyed the stay very much. The place is quiet, with picturesque views, it has enough space and the path and place is easily passable thanks to the gravel. Wedges are recommended, as on most Nomady places. Nicole and Sepp are very sympathetic, we felt very comfortable. The starting point is ideal for hikes, which we were able to do well despite the moody weather. Thank you for the flexible checkout time, so we could end the day comfortably. The place was super. It is now straightened and laid out with gravel, which makes access extremely easy. Sepp and Nicole came right over on the first evening to greet us and offer any help. The firewood was filled up to the top, 10 L of fresh water was ready and the bio toilet was clean and had a super view ;) We will definitely come again and can only recommend the place.

Very nice communication, nice place with a view. Clean bio toilet, about 10L fresh water is provided. Nice fireplace with provided wood and fixed bench under large maple tree are available. We enjoyed it very much! Only drawback, as we had no wedge with us was that we found with our large camper no level place.
