YES, WE ARE OPEN 365 DAYS A YEAR!
Cascina Mottainai is a small, nature-oriented campsite nestled in the hills, just a 20-minute drive from Bologna. We are located on Via Mater Dei, right next to the Parco dei Gessi Bolognesi e Calanchi dell'Abbadessa nature reserve, home to foxes, deer, porcupines, and many other wild animals. The pitches are simply equipped with electricity and water connections (no wastewater connection). The fire pit with barbecue area is available for use; wood is provided. Children and dogs are welcome all year round. The pitches are equipped with electricity connections (up to 16 amps, at an additional cost of €5 per day). There is a communal camping kitchen and a dry toilet with an outdoor shower (see photo). The access road is unpaved and uphill but passable with any vehicle. We recommend using Via Rio Fabbiani 8 as a reference point and following the signs to Cascina Mottainai (NOT Via della Canovaccia). Payment can be made by credit card, PayPal, or cash; a laundry service is also available.
